“The Counterfeit Beatles are a professional and highly entertaining Beatles tribute act, who I would highly recommend for any event. We booked them for the Horsley Big Day Out in the grounds of historic Horsley Towers where they topped the bill. We are sure that it was their 'pulling power' which more than doubled the expected attendance - but it was their performance that made the event such a huge success.

The band soon had the crowd - which included children, teenagers and elderly ladies, as well as many Beatles fans claiming to have seen the originals back in the 60s - on its feet, singing and dancing along. They are highly authentic in both appearance - instruments, amps, hair and clothes - as well as performance - I would say the instrumental backing and vocals were exact copies of the original recordings. This was all delivered with infectious energy and enthusiasm, so you could almost suspend disbelief. Perhaps this is what the real thing was like - but now with a much better sound system: the balance and mix were spot on from start to finish (even though they were given very little time for a sound check).

As well as all the well-known hits, the band played 'oh yes, I remember that' album tracks and more complex songs from the Sergeant Pepper era and beyond. One song moved effortlessly into the next - they are very slick and kept the performance moving seamlessly. Just four guys - no backing musicians or orchestras, because the Beatles never used these on stage - managed to create an authentic, enjoyable and high quality 'Beatles experience' that was as close as any of us will ever get to the 'real thing'. I recommend the Counterfeit Beatles unreservedly.”
